*Well, waking up on a bench outside certainly wasn't on the list of things he expected to happen today. Edward sat up abruptly, regretting it instantly as his head spun in response to such a quick movement* Where the he- Central?

What am I doing here? How the hell .... Is that even possible?

This place is rather hard to explain. [Here, have a female Al.]

Al...? *His senses aren't exactly in top shape, and he doesn't realize she's female as he quirks a brow at that, deciding that staying still made him want to pass out much less* Place, what place-?

Why aren't we in Resembool anymore?

I don't know. [She said simply, watching him]

I just know that I was walking and ended up here somehow.

Last time I checked, I was under some sort of house arrest since I'm supposed to be dead and all. It doesn't make any sense that all of a sudden I'm outside in Central city, instead.

I shouldn't even standing on my own. I thought I was supposed to stay inside, and rest... Nevermind that people aren't supposed to see me, and I wake up on some bench? If that bastard had anything to do with this-

*He blinked as it sunk in slowly. Al looked... different.* You... Walked here?

Are you all right?

Yeah, I'm fine.

I could always be much worse. Hell, I could be dead.

This is true, but...

I'm glad you're at least taking this all right. It seems that most people come here start to panic, and...

I know I did when I first came here.

Well, after the initial shock of ... what I'm doing in Central-

It's not all that big of a deal. At least I'm out of that house.

You are here for the tea party, did you not know?

Twi- ?

You're a... *Eyes widened as it sunk in, rather quickly considering his recent history*

... but, how? Shouldn't you be dead?

[ Coincidence brought Roy to location. It was his history with similar faces which did not permit him to leave as the other man regained his barrings and sense of the surroundings. Well, at least enough to prove that he wasn't about to go tail end-up and need Roy to cart him off to receive treatment. Not everyone adjusted to this place without hurting themselves. ]

I suppose you got the short end of the stick when it came to who your Welcome-Wagon gets to be.

[ It wasn't as though Roy had any particular inkling as to which specifically quirky universe this Edward was hailing from, but he generally treated them all alike. More often than not the dynamic was similar. If not, well he learned the best way there was. The hard one. And that was fine enough with him. ]

In other words: You're delighted to see me, I'm sure.

*There was a brief moment of something almost akin to relief at the sound of Roy's voice before golden eyes narrowed at the other's presence and he leaned back against the bench behind him almost sulkily* What the hell am I doing in Central? *He asked, not even seeming to notice the first thing that was said* Did you have something to do with this? I'm not going back to the military, you'd think a guy would get a little sick leave after coming back from the dead, General.

Believe me Fullmetal, I really would have loved to have a hand in dragging you across the boundaries of time and space for no other reason but the sheer act of irritating you.

Because I really must have nothing better to do.

[ There's an off-handed murmur involving something about being pleased Edward's faith in Roy's abilities extend to feats of such magnitude. But that's given a dismissive wave to eradicate those thoughts; even if the motion ceases halfway through it's task. ]

The dead, hm?

I bet you would- *He started, pausing at the question and nearly growling at how little sense all of this was making*

The dead, don't play stupid General, you're the one that brought me back. I just don't understand what I'm doing in Central all of a sudden. Last time I checked, I was supposed to be in Resembool, getting my strength back.
