Aaah, I really liked this! I UNDERSTAND, SHESKA, ABOUT BOOKS NO ONE READS DESPITE BEING INTERESTING. However, 'Mikage Einstein' made me laugh tons. But <333 I love her, and I love the glimpses of her with her mum :).

Oh my gosh, I love my story! From Sheska's curiosity over the insect book and reference to Ishval to her job search dilemma (I so can relate to that, especially since I live in California where not much hiring is going on, even if you have a couple network connections ;_; ) to her interaction with her mother to her thoughts on Hughes...gah, everything is great here. You really did well with developing Sheska here. There are also many awesome lines I like, but these two are my favorites:

It’s not that Sheska doesn’t have connections, but they’re all people she’s never met and who don’t know she exists, and many of them are a hundred years dead or more, so that really isn’t much help.

It's actually clever you have Sheska's connections be of people she had read.

Sheska still doesn’t understand why or how kind Maria Ross could have killed him, or Colonel Mustang could have killed Maria, or any of it. There’s no plot, no reason, no narrative to give it any meaning.Very nice how Sheska believed what happened with Hughes's death doesn't ( ... )

Oh, Sheska. Bookworms unite! I love the framing of this, with the different books at different stages of her life (plus the little descriptions of the books at the beginning of each segment, with their catalog info, made me grin), and her thoughts at the end about books giving things meaning they don't have irl is very touching, in a sad way.

This is so fantastic -- a bibliophile's dream story, and my heart just goes out to awkward, earnest Sheska.

Of course there’s life beyond libraries. It’s just not very interesting life compared to the kind you get in a book.

You said it, girl!

I love this.
