Ah, Madame is wise. Poor lil Roy.

Love your take on the prompt, too.

(I don't remember seeing any pictures of young Roy other than the one with Maes, sorry.)

Thanks! I have to admit I think I love this little guy more every week. LOL Glad you liked it but...I'm still thinking about Vampie Maes. ;-)

"Good God, Roy," Maes said shortly after becoming undead. "I spent the night trying out my new awesome powers. ...Do know what vampires *eat*?? It's disgusting!"

"My aunt Chris said not to talk to strange men," Roy said, edging away. Now he knew why she made him rub garlic juice on his neck.

Oh. My. God. It's official. I LOVE YOU! LOL

<3 That's precious and yummy Maes and...yeah. Now you need to write more fun stuffs. ;-) *giggles*

...I guess it's kinda obvious I'm just a sucker for Maes and Roy in ANY context? LOL

That should be an interesting conversation during the train ride. Great work!

Concerning pics of little Roy with Chris, I don't think there are any to my knowledge.

I'm thinking it should be...or I hope it should be! Can't wait for next week's prompt! LOL

You know, for some reason I just swear I've seen something making me think he was about 9 but maybe it was fan art. I don't even know how I know he was that age!

I love how you're making these prompts work for you!
And I don't recall ever seeing anything with little Roy, more's the pity.

Roy learning that Chris can be a link to his past (instead of just a divisive force) is going to be a big help. I love the mini-theme in this series of things that little Roy disdains (alchemy and elegant clothing) becoming important to him as he grows up.

I am in awe of your ability to use the prompts to tell Roy's story.

Yeah has for that "mini theme" I'm so discovering it as I go along! LOL I will say I'm totally having fun showing the 2 sides of him. The best part in this me was when I was writing Chris talking to little Roy the same way I write Roy talking to young Ed!

I'm so glad you're enjoying it. It's been awhile since I've done a prompt driven story like this. :-)

LOL about the mini-theme. These things happen when one writes, huh? Go with the flow!

When (not if!) he gets old, Roy will write a memoir entitled "All I Ever Needed to Know I Learned from Auntie Chris."

Ahhhhhhh hahaha yup! I can totally see it! I think she very much forms the man he becomes but that he so gets that motivation and soft heart from his parents. :-)

Poor little Roy.

The only kid pictures I know of are of the Risembool Trio. I don't think Arakawa did any others, despite having a lot of headcanon for a lot of the characters that never made it anywhere but in some of the (untranslated into English) character guides.
