well done. Roy's memories intercutting with his present are intriguing but it's the exchange between Havoc and Riza that really make this one.

Though, it seems like your formatting went a tad astray

Thank you for your kind words - I fiddled a lot to get down the wordcount and I was afraid Riza/Havoc part was not clear enough.

And OMG! why does it look all messed up? On my lj it was just fine but when I got email notification from your review it was all one chunk of text *fails*

Oh, well >.< there is an old Russian saying that the first pancake is always crumbled (i.e. screwed up) I'm not sure if it's ok to edit the entry, but I'll ask mods if that's allowed.
I am pretty sure the reason I messed up so many things this time is that I was posting it on 2 hours of sleep in two days *sigh*
Thanks again for reading it! and I sincerely apologize for messed up formatting

hmmm... Just opened the entry from another computer - somehow it looks ok. There must be certain evil fairy involved that prevents me from fixing things today.
Or is there a trick I'm unaware of? or maybe it's because I use Mac, not PC...

snor. Evil fairies is as good a reason as any for what computers do. I'm not sure how you're typing it up but I usually have to double space between paragraphs to make sure they don't run together on line (but I do have a PC). It's still all one chunk here on my office computer too. Computers, they're here to make us nuts.

But yes I really liked the Riza/Havoc part

I like how Roy's memories can be taken romantically or as the musing of a broken hearted parent. It was bitter sweet up until the exchange with Riza and Jean, then the fic became chilling. I loved it.

I love seeing Jean and Riza struggling to care for Roy while he's just barely holding together; just wonderful. Great work!
