Why does everyone assume I am a hippie? There is nothing groovy or mellow about me. I'm actually quite brittle and curmudgeonly.

I was joined to a progressive hippie Facebook group by someone I don't know, which was weird, and I went along with it because hey, why not? And now I seem to have harshed everyone's mellow by pointing out that a meme

Yeesh, some folks just refuse to see reality. Good on you though for at least attempting to open their eyes. Too many memes/images get copied around merrily with total disregard for what is actually being displayed.

I'm with you: memes based on fake over-romanticism are fucking annoying. There's lots of tribe in the many countries of Africa and the people are just as complex as anywhere. I hate that shit.
