Why can't they just accept it?

I had a really bad day yesterday. My period started in the morning, which caused my ME to go mad. I don’t get any warning signs before my period but as soon as it starts my ME symptoms escalate. aaaw hun. i wish i could make them understand for you, before i became ill, and my sister and one of my brothers had ME and i didnt understand and i think that was hard. now i've got it too it's easier in that respect, but now i'm on the receiving end of the nonunderstanding from others!! it would be great to educate the world but we can't sadly. i don't know why they can't just accept it, maybe they just don't want to. my dad doesn't believe that illness exists full stop!! it's tough, but big *hugs* and hope things improve soon xx

Thanks hun.

I know that it must be hard for them to understand but it makes me so angry. My mum has cared for me since I became ill 3 1/2 years ago and she's seen everything that I've been through and yet she still doesn't believe that some of the symptoms I have can actually be real.

It must be hard for you when your dad doesn't believe in ME. *hugs*

yeah, you'd think after that long they'd understand wouldn't u?! i suppose we should at least be grateful that we've got support through ayme and stuff nowadays, and it's actually recognized to be a proper illness!! hope ur days improved xx

I understand what you are going through because my parents are a bit like that...thank god i don't see them much!
