Ok, it's not that bad.... but I've become addicted to Lord of the Rings online... it's like WoW, but it's set in the LotR universe, the graphics are better, and it's not quite so grind-obsessed. There are many other differences / improvements, and I'd be happy to talk about them with anyone who wants to know more... Anyway, I've been playing it ( Read more... )

I'm in. I was never very interested in WoW, but I used to be mildly obsessed with RTCW online. However, I envision the time difference being a bit problematic.

ok, finally got it figured out:

go to www.lotro.com/trial and download the client (don't bother with the high resolution download unless you have a humongously awesome video card).

Then, tell me what e-mail address you want the referral key sent to, and I'll have a guest key sent to you. That will give you 10 free days of play, after which you can choose to buy the full game ($30) and you'll get the $10/month founders price.
