This is only the second day that I have ever had to sit airport reserve. I hate it like a chaffing rash. I want to fly. I want to fly. I would rather go outside and die than sit here one more hour. To top it all off I asked for tomato on my chicken sandwich, and they didn't put letuce on...... Hello. How hard is it to make a chicken sandwhich?

I've got to admit that I'm feeling just a touch nervous about tomorrow (my first day on the line). I guess that's typical.
It's a 3 leg day. PDX-BUR-PDX-SMF. Welp, here goes.

I passed my sic type ride today in the RJ, and it went very well. It was nice to have my instructor in the left seat instead of my 63 year old sim partner. I mean he was cool and all, but you know what they say about old dogs... In any case, the check airman was quite pleased and IOE starts tuesday!

It's pretty much all I think about. They sure do give us a $#!^ load to memorize. But I secretly like to sit in a corner and study my note cards. It makes me feel cool....... Like I'm a Jet pilot or something.

Well folks, it's official! I landed a job with Horizon Air flying the CRJ 700. It's a good thing becuase I've got a serious case of SJS. I'll be rocking my wings at you as we're wizzing by on the jet routes. Class date is Dec 17 though, so a little ways to go yet.

I am a certified flight instructor! It all went down on friday. I ended up meeting with our chief flight instructor for some ground earlier this week so that I could really do a bang em up job on what the D.E. failed me on. I did just that. So I did my deed of service to the D.E. yesterday, and after 8 hours, we where picking apart something real simple that I knew well, but my brain was fried and I couldn't seem to pull it out.
