Thanks to lots of traveling over the holidays, it took me until now to finish this. A belated holiday present for musesfool, who wanted one. Whee? Happy holidays, musesfool! Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked the story, and felt inspired enough to do a dvd commentary. I have a soft spot for this story, not just because of how hard Sam and Dean are trying to hold it together, but also because the pool-playing reminds me of my older sister - who used to be quite good at it, and who used to let me win, even when we were well into our twenties, because I sucked, but by then I would notice and complain. *g*

And Sam is totally the better liar and con man - he fully inhabits his role and comes over all sincere, while Dean is smarmy and coasts by on charm. I don't understand people who think Sam is a bad liar. Did they not see "The Usual Suspects"?

Anyway, thank you again. This really made my night.

My family's totally the same way: my Dad is ridiculously good at pool, but always used to let us win. He could probably swtich hands, just like Sam did :o)

I know, seriously! You could even go all the way back to the Pilot, when he's lying to Jess (all the while shoving a KNIFE in his bag). Not to mention having done it for at least 4 years at college. Sheesh.
