Head and shoulders, knees and toes... Eyes, ears, mouth and nose.

Went to archery. We shot 23 rounds (23x3 arrows) today because there were just two of us. It was intense! I had to stop at 16 and take a break because I couldn't hold my bow steady anymore, I could see it wavering as I tried to sight, and so of course that was throwing my aim off. We actually used targets today too. Last week I discovered that ( Read more... )

Archery! I've always wanted to learn that. I got to play with Evie's dad's crossbow the other day; twas a lot of fun.

My last shoes lasted me almost 5 years. The lift was squashed to less than half of its previous height, which would explain why my back was starting to go out again.

Ears... Last time I had to get my ears cleaned, it was in rough enough shape we needed power tools and anaesthetic. :/

crossbow! cool. those things are effing powerful. no crossbows for me... just a simple recurve. even that takes a surprising amount of concentration because you have to get really consistent, which means you have to hold your body essentially the same every time, which is really hard! but it's very cool. you should try it out.

:P. I'm apparently supposed to replace my orthotics every year. I've done something very odd where I started off pronating, then changed the way I walk so that now I pronate and supponate at different points in my step and my ankles do very funny things. it might also be why my knees and lower back hate me. it's amazing how much is affected by your feet.

meep! power tools?! O_O

I'm pretty wobbly, but for some reason I'm still fairly consistent. Two bullseyes in a row once I learned to compensate for the sight. I'd like to practice till I'm right stable and then one day learn the recurve...

The back outer heels of my shoes always get worn right down. My stride isn't bad enough to require correction, but I did crunch up one of my growth plates enough to shorten my right tibia by almost a centimeter.

As for my ears... I got tubes when I was a kid, and one of them never came out. I, of course, grew a pearl of scar tissue around it that would weep nutritious fluids to keep an infection going for over a year.

Nice! I get more and more wobbly as time goes on during practice, but my aim gets better, conversely. I can't quite figure that out. I averaged a score of 7 for each shot on the target, which isn't great since I'm supposed to be aiming for 10. But it's not too bad ( ... )

my dad got his ears done too. I pictured it like having half your sinuses fill up like a fishbowl.

p.s. I saved the party pictures of you :).

lol. frankly I think I'd prefer a fishbowl. the water in a fishbowl isn't moving much, and therefore it's not painful or noisy. :P I thought the only way to clean your ears was an ear candle, but apparently that's not the case.

aw. I didn't post all of them by far, not even all the ones of me. if you'd like some, I can send them.

I've done the ear rinsing thing!
I thought I had an ear infection since it was full of pain, but instead it was just full of crap. I thought it just felt kinda weird, but not painful. Not even a bad weird.

I think maybe my ear was sensitive because I've been semi-sick for the last little while. who knows. I also have a lower pain tolerance than you, so that might have something to do with it.
