I was amused because the hatred was so obvious that it lost all journalistic substance and managed to nullify the author's point quite nicely. Sometimes taking a breath from reading my "drama" to read other crazies in other fandoms makes me chuckle.

The second people go for the "personal attack" usually means that they have lost confidence in their own arguments. (Unless they are responding to a personal attack; I haven't read the posts up to that statement.) It's the Internet equivalent of "Oh yeah? Well you suck!" for the verbally impaired that just can't hold an effective debate.

Therefore proving that they are, by their own actions, "pathetic losers" and not worth your time. :)

Yeah, exactly. This is the sort of thing that would have pissed me off 10 years ago, but nowdays, I can barely be bothered. I had his number within seconds of starting his article.
