I was accidentally watching the Regis&Kelly episode when he first announced this. He was going on about explaining sex to his 7-year-old son and then he eased into the fact that he was talking about how the kid would have a sibling coming up. And I was all ZOMG! Especially since my expression before was WTF! HE'S 7; DON'T GIVE HIM A SEX TALK NOW! :D

I knew he was having a baby, I just didn't realize it was a girl. Did he mention it on Regis and Kelly?

I thought the same thing when I was watching. I have siblings that age and I would *never* want them to have a sex talk.

Oh no, this was a few months ago, I think, so maybe they didn't even know the sex of the baby yet.

Hee, glad someone agrees with me. Though, scarily enough, I think most 7 year olds these days know their fair share on the topic and that makes me really sad for some reason. :(

Kids are maturing/"maturing" much faster these days, even faster than five or ten years ago. If you look at the stats on pre-teens, not even teens!- who are having sex or doing drugs...it's sad and it's scary.
