"The living room looks fantastic, Q. Rachel will love it. The girls did a good job helping with the balloons too."

She made her way over the counter where Quinn seemed to be surveying the food.

"When do you want to put things out on the table?"

Considering the question, Quinn looked down at her watch. It was about 2:30pm and the invitation had said two. "I think we can start putting the food out around three. I picked up snacks for Abs and J if they get a little restless. too."

"Are they entertaining Rachel?" Millie hoped that Julia was behaving herself, but she hadn't heard any crashes or glass breaking, so that seemed a good bet.

"I haven't set anything on fire in the kitchen in a few years if you need to do some other things. I can continuing heating the food and arranging the trays." Millie smirked over at her sister. "Or if there is something else that needs doing, just point the way."

The sound of the doorbell chiming bellowed through the house. She wondered who was on the other side.

Brittany smiled as she held Emma's hand and rang the doorbell with her free hand. "I love babies," she said for the fifth time since they'd left Brittany's apartment.

Emma laughed lightly leaning up and pressing a kiss to Brittany's temple. She gently pulled her hand away from Brittany's, instead wrapping her arm around the blonde's waist tugging her into her, her other hand holding the present they'd picked out. "I know babe" she said "I remember you saying it when we left and..maybe just a few times on the way over" she teased.

Brittany smiled and kissed Emma softly on the lips. "I just really like babies," she replied with a grin. "Almost as much as I like you."

Quinn smiled as she saw Millie's present sitting on the table. Next to it was one that Abby had picked out herself. Hopefully the other guests would take the hint.

After a quiet explanation and a quick kiss Emma left Brittany's side making her way to the present table. She hesitated holding the medium sized wrapped boxed in her hands. She'd included the two albums, one for Quinn another for Rachel, of the pictures she'd taken and the two onsies she'd bought for Rachel a few months earlier. What gave her pause was the albums, she was fairly sure they'd be opening presents in a group and she didn't want to embarress or upset, well...Quinn. She looked around, wanting to talk to the woman before she set the present down.

Jesse placed his gift on the table as he passed to go out back and tye Milo up.

As he stepped outside and up to the tree he couldn't help but hope Rachel like the box of baby safe stuffed toys.

Jesse muttered to Milo "Alright buddy you have to be on your best behavior out here okay."

He then jumped a little when a voice spoke from behinded him.

"Jesse, right? We sort of met the other night when I cut in on your dance with Rowan. I hear she didn't make her way back over. Sorry about that."

Millie eyed him curiously as he tied his very cute dog to a tree. She wasn't sure why he would bring a dog to a baby shower, but she was certain that Quinn was less than pleased.

She'd never say this aloud, but Quinn was nervous that the all vegan menu might be too much for their non-vegan friends. She really hoped they'd enjoy the vegan pizzas, spicy chickpea snacks, pasta salad, black bean burgers, cookies and assortment of baked breads would go over well.

Brittany nodded to herself as she munched on the vegan pizza. It wasn't as gross as she expected. She smiled. Maybe I'll go vegan, too. Then, she thought of giving up bacon and frowned. Never. she promised herself.

Rachel sidled up next to Brittany. "The food's great! I have to say, Quinn outdid herself. I never thought she'd be able to find so many vegan products, let alone go near them." Rachel smiled as she picked up a slice of pizza and bringing it to her mouth.

Brittany's fingers dug into Quinn's arm as she dragged her into the bathroom, slamming the door behind them.

"How could you forget to tell me that Santana Lopez was going to be here?!" she snapped, "I mean, I know being pregnant screws with your mind or something but how could that possibly slip your mind?"

Quinn tugged her arm away, rubbing the sore spot Brittany's fingers had left. "OW! That wasn't very nice. I bet I'm going to have a bruise," the shorter blonde said, inspecting her upper arm.

"I just ran into Santana Fucking Lopez while eating that stupid vegan pizza. Santana. Fucking. Lopez. Without warning. That wasn't very nice. How could you not tell me she was going to be here? How could you not tell me?!" Brittany snapped, her fist clenching and her nails digging into her palms.
