who's in charge of this thing anyhow?

Right. New rules. I'm posting every Wednesday morning whether I have something brilliant to say or not. Otherwise the situation is just going to get ridiculous. I've started writing dozens of posts over the past couple weeks, but stopped before finishing or posting them because they didn't seem interesting enough. As if I've got some incredibly ( Read more... )

Maybe I should take a queue from your icon and post cute pics of puppies when I have nothing else to say. :-)

hi lovebug!

*squiffles you*

i've been meaning to tell you that i finally saw close my eyes, on your recommendation. oh, sinclair! linney, i almost died. HIS LION HAIR. i found the incest a bit boring though, in spite of all the naked clive owen, which was ... odd.

i want to live in that house with alan and have picnics by the river and listen to him ramble endlessly about dinosaurs and other nonsense.

Sinclair! *sigh*
Without him the movie would be quite boring (though still pretty), yes. All my love for that movie relies on Alan Rickman realizing and not saying and being very very angry and not saying and that white suit and the way you have to strain to hear him speak and...

I'm glad you saw it.

I want you to live in that house and let me be your long term house guest.

*luffs*

Sinclair! Did I mention his hair? And the sounds he makes in the sex scene? And the way he's always talking? Or eating? Or talking? And his hair? And yes, that suit. He's so lovely.

*bites lip*

As soon as I achieve my dream, your invite will be in the mail.

I'm always shocked everytime I rewatch that movie to discover Alan Rickman is not in fact in every scene. It's a lovely movie, but it's even better in my foggy rememberings.

Maybe next time I'll just skip the other bits.

I approve of this project!

And I hadn't seen the calendar thing -- what won't google think of next?

The calendar is my new best friend - and it's still just a beta. Once they make it smart enough to detect dates and times mentioned in the text of emails and give you the option to add those to your calendar with a click? Then we're really rockin!

Too bad I don't have a life full of exciting things to schedule in!

I seriously don't know how I lived pre-gmail, though. THREADING.

And searchable text, and never having to save addresses and being able to reply as one of 6 different users from the same account, and, and...

You can shedule this: Monday June 19th: Sangria with Linney!

The funny or embarrassing thing about LJ, I think, is that if I like someone enough, I tend to find their posts endlessly fascinating, even if all they ever post about is, you know, broken satellite dishes and coffee. Or their fabulous vacation destinations. *grin*

I like to think that applies to everyone, but maybe I'm just pathetically easy to entertain.

It depends on my mood, but definitely if I like a person, their ephemera is usually FASCINATING.

Except when they post about broken satellite dishes and coffee. That's not interesting AT ALL. *snerk*

How funny is it that I have THREE bathtub icon with which I could reply to yours?

I am watching you. CLOSELY!

Although I approve of this posting at least once a week plan, it makes me happy :)

Nijmegen! I think I went to a record swapmeet in Nijmegen years ago...

Glad everything is going so marvelously! And yay for going to the gym every day, and for strawberry-rhubarb upside down cake in your fridge!

I am most excited. I get to take a train from Amsterdam, which will be so luffly. :-)

I can't explain why going to the gym every day has suddenly become so easy, when I've been trying and failing to develop this habit for years. Guess I should just not ask too many questions.
