I have a Literary Theory final next week, which I'm assured explains why I ended up with Russian formalists.
I'd pay good money to see Jun go try and read that sentence in English/Russian. He'd be so intense and then he'd finish, stare at me and say 'Dude, I'm a post-structuralist that sometimes dabbles in queer theory but I do respect British cultural studies and some of the later Marxist works

Sounds fun. o_o Actually, have you seen some of the books Jun's read? I saw some titles somewhere and looked them up, and most of it seems like pretty difficult/engaging stuff. I'm not surprised he knows enough kanji to make me feel terribly bad about myself LOL. Although, Harry Potter is ~veeeery engaging fare.
