I really love your portrayal of June here. It's very nuanced and heartbreaking. I love how even though she's supportive, she isn't a perfect saint. On some level, Peter and Elizabeth will never really be on the same side as her simply because of their attitude toward the people in June's world. Her desire for them to experience what she's been through, though not "nice," feels very real. I like the past you've written for June. In some ways, it reminds me of Kate.

Great job!

Thank you so much! I think June would be having very mixed feelings about this situation, and I'm glad that came through. And young June reminds me of Kate, a little, too. :) I'm so glad you liked it!

What a beautiful, poignant piece of writing. June has so much potential as a character, which you explore and show here to great effect.

Beautiful character study of June. She comes across as an amazingly smart and caring women and loved that she understood El need to blame someone for the mess.

This is perfect... a beautiful, bittersweet look at both of them giving them the slight darkness and edges the show shied away from.

And that Elizabeth can't help hating Neal, an June can't help hating Elizabeth... oh that hurts, and is, yes, perfect.

This is so beautiful and haunting. Love, love all the character portrayals there. June's vindication felt like a punch in the gut, but it was so real and so understandable, just like Elizabeth's rage at Neal.
It's raw, heart-breaking and very human. Once again, I'm amazed at how brillintly you capture all these characters and their depths. Thank you for writing this and sharing this.
