It is a nice summer day, birds are singing happily perched on the tree branches and the sun shines like it wants to make you blind.
Two guys are laughing at something one of them said and their cackles can be heard by anyone that is not even near them.
Actually they’re preparing something for one of their friend’s birthday.
Something BIG.
They still don’t know what it is though. They think it’s enough for them to only remember the birth date.
This is how Shige kind of got the shock of his life. He didn’t ask for anything. All his life he’d been the good natured guy, nice with everyone and he thought studying law and writing a book made him the coolest but only he thinks that.
Maybe he should stop talking to a non-existent cat. Or just hit himself with his own book.
Shige was not known for having many rumors running around him. And no one knew if he had someone in his life.
A girlfriend. No one knows because actually no one cares. Well this is what Shige thinks until this day.
When he woke up that morning, he saw a picture of a naked woman posing in magazine on his table. Why was it there? He had no idea. He didn’t even drink last night. Or did he?
He tried to remember if he was with a girl last night but a headache was coming his way.
This is when he noticed the yellow post-it on it.
“Thanks for last night! Call me baby! *chuu*”
Ok it’s enough. He knows really well what he did last night and there was no girl involved whatsoever. So who is playing a trick on him?
He got up and took a shower.
He almost forgot about the picture when he saw a phone number written on the bathroom mirror, using LIPSTICK. A pink one.
“Well, who has a spare key of my house again?” He wondered out loud.
Shige went to the agency this morning with the attention to find the person who did the joke.
He walked in the corridor and heard some noises. He approached it slowly when he abruptly stopped all his movements.
There they were, his supposedly friends Nishikido Ryo and Ueda Tatsuya.
Those two are actually a couple. Making out every now and then and especially everywhere. Shige screamed in his head exasperatedly.
He was about to ignore them and walked away when he heard the shorter saying something interesting.
“If only we had stayed to see his face when he woke up! I bet it was so funny!” Ryo said and giggled.
“Yeah but we couldn’t let him caught us.” Tatsuya said seriously and kissed his lover.
“Oh so you both are the one with the picture!” Shige interrupted and smacked them on the head.
“Oops” Ryo silenced himself placing his hands on his mouth.
“Ryo you talk too loudly!!” Tatsuya whined. “Shige don’t mind us ok? We were only joking we wanted to make you happy.” He smiled widely.
“Happy? Like I would not know you guys are crazy.” Shige let them make out and went away pouting.
“Shit, he’s mad at us.” Tatsuya pouted cutely and hugged his lover.
“He will forget soon” Ryo smirked evilly.
“Damn those two useless idiots! Why am I friends with them again?” Shige said to himself.
“Because they actually care about you?” a voice behind him asked.
“Pi!” Shige jumped at the surprise. “What are you doing here?”
“Hey hey Kato-kun, don’t be mad at Ryo and Tatchan, you know they are lovely.” Yamapi grinned at him and walked away.
“What was that?” Shige asked himself again.
His day was pretty much finished and he got lots and lots of people greeting him happy birthday. Lots of his colleagues, sempai and juniors.
But none from Ryo nor Tatsuya.
He was beginning to be upset but today was his birthday so he decided to ignore them.
Shige went back home and got on the lights on. He almost got deaf by people screaming in his ears.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHIGE!!!” and many fireworks exploded in his living room.
Tatsuya pulled on his t-shirt and made him sit on a chair.
“Happy birthday Kato-kun!! Make a wish now” he said excitedly and smirking widely.
“Eeh- ok?” Shige blew on the candles and wished to be god or something.
“It is a big cake right?” Ryo appeared out of nowhere and smiled at Tatsuya.
“Yes yes!! A really big one!” Tatsuya chirped and began singing the birthday song.

And then, while Ryo and Tatsuya were singing and jumping happily, something popped out of the big cake, making the two lovers laughing hysterically at the view in front of them. And of Shige’s priceless face of course.
“Koki?!!” Shige flailed his arms wildly at Koki’s outfit.
“Oh I thought I had to get out the cake. Am I too early?” Koki asked sheepishly.
“AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA” Tatsuya and Ryo were too busy laughing their asses off and rolling on the floor to answer.
“Well it was getting hot so I guess it was okay to get out?” Koki whispered and got off the cake. “Happy birthday Kato-kun, I hope you had a great day!! Here is your present. I mean seems like I AM your present. From those two stupid just there.” Koki pointed at the two idiots making out on the floor. “Oh well don’t mind them okay?” He smiled and kissed Shige’s cheeks who didn’t know what to say.
“How did they know?!” Shige whispered to himself. Seems like he loves talking to himself.
