Installed Tiger today, that was exciting. Lots of potential for installing geekish widgets. And I believe iChat can now use Jabber, so I might venture into that at some point.
Unfortunately a perl program I use has ceased to work, even though I installed X11 and developer tools. Maybe I have to reinstall it. Hmm.

how is tiger different from ... whichever one i've got (panther? the one before tiger anyway) am thinking of upgrading but not sure if it's worth it

Well, for me, the attraction was mainly Jabber (cos I belong to a web community that uses it) and also that certain perl things that I barely understand are easier to install (installing the perl program referred to above was *painful

almost worth spending the money just for the sudoku widget! hmm, i may have to investigate further ...
