Mardi Gras
This past weekend, St. Louis was swept up by my favorite holiday. The Grande Parade was entertaining as always, and the weather was nice enough that we were able to wander around all day without needing to seek shelter. It was a terrific time. Robots Fighting - Supplemental
I went into a screening of "Transformers" fully expecting Michael Bay to piss all over my childhood memories. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. While I still fully believe that Mr. Bay is a hack action movie director, he has at least become a journeyman hack action director and does know how to put on a good show, action-wise. D.O.A. Its panderific!
A few of my friends talked me into going to a terrible movie last night. But, that being said, it was an awesomely overdone, totally self-consciously bad, cheesy movie. One which totally pandered to my inner 13-year old. I loved it. Painful but necessary weekend
So, I broke up with my girlfriend this weekend. I came to the realization that I didn’t love her a few weeks back, but waited till after our big Memorial Day weekend to make sure that it wasn’t just the distance thing. "The Host" - Revisited
Well, "The Host" is now opening in wider release and predictably, our local movie reviewer, Calvin Wilson, gave it a glowing review.
