My brand new four month old really loving it because I could sit on the porch, couch, in the tub (well, probably not the tub) laptop died over the weekend. I have yet to make a LJ post or comment while sitting on the can, so you're okay there. I'll be sure to let you know if that happens. For some reason I don't see you as the Mac type. More of the type to run Slackware and something like WindowMaker for a GUI.

I did the Linux thing a few years ago, but I never like any of the GUI's for it. I didn't even run X Windows at all. I love having sed and vi handy and FORWARD slashes for directory seperators, but I'll admit it, I need eye candy.

No, you are defintely not the only poor person on his list. I almost have a coronary every time someone mentions buying an Apple product. Where does the money come from? And why don't I have any?

Nope, no iPod or dual G5. I think mp3's are evil (not because they're theft. I'm all for ripping off big corporate America), but mp3's need to be stamped out of existence nonetheless.

As far as a dual G5, I think the price jump for something like that is just beyond what I'm willing to spend for a computer.

I did the iMac on credit, and now I'm really nervous about DEBT!
