I've neglected this LJ for so long that I don't even know which old friends are still active on here. If anyone is, I'm sorry for my absence and the WIPs I abandoned, as I saw some folks commented during the last few years to request updates or ask what happened to me.
I finished a draft of Scotch a couple years ago, which felt great even though I

I'm happy to see you're back. Just a few days ago I was in a bit of a sentimental mood remembered spliced and reread it.
So it seems like a really nice coincidence that after years of being on hiatus your somewhat back
LJ I think is pretty dead I think. I got an email that you had posted for the first time in a long time
Apart from that nobody is really around anymore. Franfic is still here but she hasn't really posted a fic in some time.
However maculategiraffe is on ao3 and I think even though there's not as much of a community aspect it would be worth to repost spliced there.
Anyway I hope you have been well and as I said I'm quite excited that you might be posting a new spliced version

Yes, I noticed my Friends feed looked pretty sparse, sadly...
AO3 is my main source of fic the last couple years - for reading, I haven't posted any stories there. It seems more active than LJ for sure, even if the social aspect is limited to comments sections.
Thanks for your well wishes and for responding to my post!

A lot of things are getting posted up at AO3, it's true. It isn't a social platform. If you don't comment on fic, there's little to no way to contact someone on there, and that's appropriate, I think.
There are still active livejournals. I briefly used mine for a spate of posts, but then settled down again. That's okay too.
Post as you wish!
Love your stories!

I agree, AO3 is doing what it's intended to do: providing a platform for posting and commenting on fics.
Thanks again!!

So good to hear from you! Hope you've been well.
As for your writing, why, I would love a new version of Spliced. That sounds just wonderful. Very curious about your new take on this story.
Welcome back, :D

My new take as you put it is still in progress. I am slow but steady! Thanks for your encouragement and well wishing.

I probably left some of those desperate comments that asked for you to continue. Thing is I generally tend to like slavefics because I like seeing how relationships can and can't develop with such an obvious power imbalance. And years after I still remembered your story the most. I think it's just generally my favourite story of that genre.
I'd be delighted if you could return to it. In whatever way that may be. But I've also discontinued stories myself, so I'd understand if you can't continue... but like... if you can't please tell me who's stalking them and how you meant for it to end because it's been bugging me for years! ;-)
Wish you all the best,
your devoted fan.

Spliced is my writing comfort food. I love the characters and am always happen to return to them, especially when the real world is on fire. So I feel like I'll never completely drop them - though I can take long breaks, they linger in my thoughts. All this to say, I haven't dropped the story even though it's been so long since I shared anything. Thank you again for your kind words and support of the story!
