Hello, world!
I've neglected this LJ for so long that I don't even know which old friends are still active on here. If anyone is, I'm sorry for my absence and the WIPs I abandoned, as I saw some folks commented during the last few years to request updates or ask what happened to me.
I finished a draft of Scotch a couple years ago, which felt great even though I knew it still needed help in some areas. What mattered was I got to complete Brett and Jenna's journey, and it was a happy experience for me.
I know Spliced is the story that garnered much more interest. I can't provide any hope of a near future update, unfortunately. After a long hiatus away from Spliced, I went back to the beginning to rework Part 1, which I felt was underwritten and never up to the quality of the later parts of the story. I fleshed it out to be what I'd really wanted, and then I had more ideas, and well, it's become even more than I expected in many delightful ways. However, it leaves me in a difficult position with finishing the current posted version.
Are there still readers out there hoping for more Spliced? Please let me know.
Thank you so much for all your comments and support over the years. They've been such a wondrous marvel for me, who started all this as a fledgling writer.
