These aren't even ghosts, kid. These are just monsters. Real ghosts aren't usually this much of a problem, take it from me. Usually, they just float around looking for attention. It's kind of sad, but also really annoying.

West end is clear; no sign of any likely girls to be sending distress signals, and no matching bodies. I'm pretty sure this whole damn thing is a trap.

The monsters seem affected easily enough by mundane weapons without the need to bring in anything fancy. As for the hallucinations, they're more widespread than I've ever seen - I can't even begin to guess at a source besides perhaps the whole damn town.

The town, huh...you could be onto something there. I've seen monsters before that could look at your memories and change shape to mess with you, but I don't think it could make this many people hallucinate this specifically all at once.

I've checked Dad's journal, and he had a few theories; he verified a few other hunters' stories about having been out here, though, and one of them was stupid enough to try it out during Long Night. He reported a few routine salt'n'burns, but nothing on this scale, so it's not recurring.
