[Katie's been busy the past few days... doing a decidedly odd collection of activities, at that. Housemates might note she keeps coming home covered in sand and tired enough to actually go to bed at a decent hour. And she's quiet. Brook's gone home, and so's Zoro, and she heard Archie got hurt (and she needs to ask him about that at some point)... ( Read more... )

[When Sparrow pokes his head out the door, a small child drawing arrows on his house is not what he expects to see.]

Oi! Katie! You're not drawing demony symbols, are you?

As soon as said tornado is ready, Captain Jack Sparrow will be ready, eh? That is to say---now would work very well indeed, darling.

Hmmm. [She takes a step back from the wall to inspect their work, and then nods.] All right. Why don't you go inside, then?

[The pirate bobs a quick bow to her before scurrying indoors, closing and locking the giant front doors behind him. He decides he should probably take her at her word and find a comfortable place to sit, and the couch will do just as well as anywhere else. Plunking himself down, Sparrow takes a strong hold of the back and the arm of the furniture and screws his eyes shut.]

READY.

[It will really be over in a flash once she does it, though Katie rather wistfully wishes there would be actual tornadoes involved. (Sadly, she doesn't know that particular path of magic. This is possibly to the good of Lucetians everywhere.)

Jack might hear a small child then clambering up onto his roof in a few moments, standing up and holding onto the chimney, sketching a cartoonish tornado on the brick. More powerful fae could have done this all without the rigmarole of chalk and seashells, but the more ritual she puts into the magic, the less it costs.

This will cost it all in any case. She's barely learned this particular wayfare, and a house is huge. But! As long as she gets the attic. Katie draws a button under the tornado. And presses it, winding the magic for both hopscotch and flicker flash into one cantrip, guaranteeing the house a safe landing ( ... )

[...until the final shoe drops, so to speak, and Jack finds himself lying faceup on the couch, clutching the cushions as his heart threatens to execute a cunning prison break from his ribcage.]

OI! STEADY!

[There's a small thump as Katie sits down hard. But she won't answer that. Yelling takes too much effort. Besides, the view is nice. |Db]

Katie! Katie? You've done it, lass!

[Jack tries to stand up off the couch; however, for some reason, the flick has caused his death penalty to act up. With no equilibrium, the pirate staggers and falls right back down on the cushions.]

Bugger bugger hang on, I'll get it in a moment.

Of course I've done it. [She sounds a little miffed and a lot exhausted, and barely carrying through the roof. Then Katie gives in to the temptation to slide down the roof, hanging onto the edge briefly before dropping to the ground. Sorry about the racket.]

[The pirate comes crawling out. It...will probably take longer than he thought for his equilibrium to return, but he doesn't care. He heard a thump and that alarmed him.]

Katie, darling! Silvertoes! What's wrong, lass?!

Everything. [She's leaning against the side of the house and staring at the ground and managing to sound both supremely annoyed and exhausted all at once.] I killed the witch in the wrong place.

[Her WITCH GOES HERE arrow is about three feet off from where there are apparently red sandalled feet sticking out from the side of the house. Go figure.]

[He glances at the feet, then back to Katie, then to the feet again, then back to Katie. Then? The pirate makes a decision.]

Peanut butter and jelly. I'll make you one. It fixes lots of ailments.

Aye! Or three, if you like! Come on, come with me. Inside. Smart-like.

[And by the time she makes it to the front door she's weaving a little on her feet. No fear of fainting, though; Katie's just very...sleepy.] Three might ruin my appetite for dinner. [Gravely.]
