Is there any good proof? Erm, no. Not in my opinion. The only proof we have is JKR's word and the fact she said she cried a bit when she offed him. I've decided he's dead. For my own peace of mind, really. After reading OotP, I didn't believe it. I wouldn't. I couldn't. I held on for two years, thinking he'd come back. Well, I finally let go. Had to. It was becoming rather depressing.
