Is there any proof that Sirius is indeed dead? I mean, there was no mention of Bellatrix saying the actual Killing Curse.

if sirius id dead, it was not bellatrix who killed him, not directly, but she is still guilty of his dead.
i see his death as buffy's death , it wasn't a natural death.
he fell through the veil, and we don't know what's on the other side.
it could be a gateway to the afterlife, or maybe he was transported somewhere and can't come back. maybe another planet or another world or another dimension.
if he had been killed by avara kedavra, that's it, he's dead, no doubt about it.
but he wasn't. i can't help but think that he was killed in this misterious way for a reason. to have the chance to use him once again maybe.
it reminds me a bit of the 'heroes reborn' universe.
the fantastic four,ironman, and several other marvel heroes jumped through a portal to close it down and stop it from destroying earth. everyone thought they were dead. but they weren't. they were in an alternative universe, reliving their lives.
that veil could've been some kind of portal.
so i don't think sirius is really dead.
but that doesn't mean he's coming back.
i'm guessing where ever he is, it's a one-way trip.
