Wow! This looks amazing!

Hah! I found that Au ver de soie has a re-seller in Geneva, and as I am going there to the Diploma-Concert of a friend, I shall visit there as well :-) :-)

Thank you!!!

It was amazing - though a little overwhelming with such a big crowd of people at the expo.

At Au Ver a Soie I learned more about all the different types of silk thread. I'm glad you found somewhere to buy them. I like supporting businesses that are working to maintain the quality and variety of products that have historically been available to artisans.

I look forward to see their range of products, usually I buy Swedish supplies (mostly for weaving though)

Wow. I'd love to see Au Ver a Soie's home office. I just bought a bunch of their soie de paris threads I am itching to play with. And then to a needlework expo? Ah, sigh. I am glad you had a grand time.

Thanks! I didn't realize how many different types of thread they make. I bought a variety, including some soie de Paris, so I can see how they differ in handling and sheen. The building itself was fun - beautiful cabinets with folding doors and display cases of vintage merchandise. The stock is kept in thin, flat boxes on the shelves, and the hanging display boards where mesmerizing!

There is another expo for all crafts (so it includes paper crafts, clay, etc) Nov. 17 - 21, 2011. With the historical market and Pirate feast the weekend before, I'm thinking we have a good window for you to come visit!! :D
