We had a period of high stress for a couple of weeks, that seems to have been brought to an end yesterday. My husband's company told him they were interested in moving him to the Montreal, Canada office. O.o ( Read more... )

I know what you mean. Every so often word comes around that my husband's job might be moved to Germany or back to the states. It would be fine, there are positives for living in both places, but I love it here in England and would rather stay. :)

And Montreal is very beautiful. There are definitely worse places to go. But glad you get to stay in Paris for at least a while longer.

I don't think I've had a move yet where they gave us time to cope! LOL When we moved to England, we found out on Dec 15 that we might be going to England. On December 22, it was confirmed and they wanted David to start work on Jan 2. Nevermind, Christmas and New Years and Boxing day and the fact that we had to get visas and deal with our house and cars, right? We ended up arriving in England on Jan 13. I would very much appreciate a bit more time next time.

Sounds very familiar! We arrived ON Christmas eve, so the holidays were non-existant that year. :P You see why just the rumor set me to putting things in motion!

Such a RELIEF! I keep checking the calendar on the website of Ministere des Modes in hopes of an event before Vaux in May. Can't wait!

Nothing is set yet... At any rate, the website is seldomly updated, so you'll be better off checking the forum. I'll make sure to keep you posted if I see something.

That's good news! Aside from moving being just a pain, it is hard to uproot emotionally every couple of years when you move around a lot, especially if you have to leave a place you have really come to love.

(Guess now I'd better hustle to get over there for a visit, huh?)

Yes! Moving=pain-in-the-ass. I was starting to look around the apartment and inventory what would get tossed/donated/packed. STRESSFUL!!

I just realized I have an email from you that is languishing in my inbox somewhere awaiting a reply!! I will get on that, cuz YES you need to get your buns over here!

Bah! Not that Montreal wouldn't be interesting, but it's not PARIS! And how will I get to visit you in Paris if you're not there? Tell them I require you to stay.

EXACTLY! Montreal - Bah. Paris is the center of the known universe! Or at least Parisians think so. lol
I have a plan to revamp the guest room/office to accomodate a couple (it's just a twin bed right now). Please come visit! :)
