First choice was totally easy - so easy I laughed - but then Faith vs Nightshifter? Not easy for me at all!

Faith is so very marvellous, it's true, but Nightshifter was my favourite episode ever until Mystery Spot came along *_*

I lovelovelove beyond words the first part of Faith - sick!Dean wearing Sam's hoodie and the BOC montage with the jogger and the reaper - but I think Nightshifter it good all the way through. I am yet to decide. Nightshifter is the episode I show people to try to suck them in. :)

I was going to ask which was the harder one to choose.

I had the hardest time for ep 11. All around, Playthings is like my #2 fave episode ever, but I feel like Mystery Spot is also SO GOOD. And the trickster makes everything better. Also, the theme behind it (Sam can't save Dean from Hell) is stronger for me than Playthings (Sam can't save everyone).

Nightshifter is hands down my #1 fave episode so I didn't even consider the ramifications of passing over the other ones :-D

Mystery Spot has no competition for me. It's my absolute favourite episode, like you and Nightshifter - though, off the top of my head, I would say Nightshifter is the better written episode. Plus Henriksen, who fills my heart with glee!

Mystery Spot IS high on my list, so I won't fault you for choosing it over Nighshifter ;-)

Episode 12 was my toughie too, which is weird, because some weeks I just can't find a favourite at all!

Ack, Nightshifter vs Jus in Bello? Nightshifter has my all-time favorite music moment in SPN, but I don't know that that pushes it over the edge of Jus in Bello, which was the first ep I watched as it aired, and is therefore ~special to me.

I'm struggling with Nightshifter versus Faith, which is striking, because Faith also has that rather lovely music moment with the jogger and the reaper with BOC.

Yeah, that one is great, too; perfect use of the song. (Plus, Faith has clothesharing, which is a big old win in my book.)

Man I had the same struggle what tipped it over for me was the ending of Nightshifter and the "We're so screwed" line with the music of Renegade. That was awesome. Faith was awesome but in a quieter way and really if more episodes were like Faith I'd be a very happy camper. :)
