that was james and i, except he had to get rid of me because even though he has a very serious girlfriend, he's the one who can't stand to see ME with anyone else. i'm supposed to hang around forever while he has a serious relationship. what the hell?

That is the first Ani song I ever heard. It was introduced to me by my best friend (and later, first female lover), and I have a beautiful memory of laying on a couch in her house in a dark room listening to it over and over.
