It makes you whoever you want to be. There is no "recipe" for happiness. If you have found a good balance then be happy to have that. I think the best way to take all the "what's wrong" questions as to why you don't smile often is to turn it into a positive thing that people actually care about how you feel. I know it's annoying but they probably have the best intentions.

Yeah, it's hard not think those people annoying. And it's really not their fault; it's just that I've been hearing that question most of my life. But I don't expect them to know that. hah.

I'm quick to laugh, hard to offend, and always looking for the joke.

I'm also very easily read. I've got a facial expression for every situation.

ERM, are you sure you're not me?? -shifty eyes-

Whoever said high school was the best time of your life is a damn dirty liar.

I almost have an icon for that! Let me show it to you!

We really do sound similar, and I'm so happy that you've found some reasonable happy for yourself. That makes me smile!

If you're me, I'm very confused. But intrigued.

haha. so true.

Aw, well thank you. I hope your happy is equally as reasonable. :)

You and I sound very similar. My outward appearance rarely reflects how I'm feeling. I don't smile often but I'm not unhappy either. It amazes me that people get so uncomfortable and/or tripped out that we aren't running around with smiles plastered onto our faces.

Congrats on finding a balance. It's a very important thing. And hey, if you don't feel like smiling, don't. Screw what other people thing. What matters is how *you* feel inside.

I'm also not programmed to begin in serious mode...I'm glad you found a balance. Just because one doesn't always smile doesn't mean they aren't happy...
