If I ever got a tattoo, I think it'd have to be some sort of optical illusion. I'm not sure how well it'd work on a deformable surface, but I bet a tattoo of a Kanizsa triangle, necker cube, or rotating snake would be kind of neat.

I know I've seen pictures of a Kanizsa triangle tattoo before. It looked really nice, but I felt the colours needed to contrast more (black & white vs. black & skin).

Heh, I do like the triangle best, but I get the feeling unknowing people might mistake it for a cult thing, or something like that. But who knows!

rotating snakes

that's the freakiest thing I've ever seen! it really looks like those snakes are moving!!! you'd have to be careful where you got a tatoo of that...you might make people motion sick!
