Hearing about your relationship gives me hope! Although this part in particular struck me: Happily. I can't see myself with anyone else, ever, because this terrifying, crushing, all consuming love can't be shared around. I don't know if I could take it again.

I think that's true. Mary will always have a place in your heart, even if you were to somehow end up apart. You wouldn't be able to give your heart to anybody else in the same way.

I wish you two all the best. And of course, I look forward to more art when you are all healed up!

You're absolutely right. And it's weird, because it's not something I fear. If I'm not with her, why would I be with anyone else? I don't want to be with anyone else, and that doesn't bother me.
