I really did! I am so geeked. Last month I got this manga cross stitch book which came with some okay patterns, but lots of ideas and stitch styles to create your own manga/anime inspired patterns. It came with a crippled pattern making software, but I found a freeware software that does the exact same stuff without needing to shell out an extra $30. So yes, with all of this I plan to make anime, manga and video game inspired cross-stitch projects. *A*

Ooh, awesome! What's the site, if you don't mind my asking? I cross stitch a little bit (... mostly pillowcases when I get bored) and that sounds like a really nifty project!

For the freeware? http://www.iktsoft.net/kgchart-en/

The book that I got is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Manga-Cross-Stitch-Make-Graphic-Needlework/dp/0740779656

A couple of the patterns that come with it are cute, just not ones I'd really want to do, but the book itself is pretty good. The main thing I like about it is the font patterns/samplers which will be useful no matter what I decide to do.

I've never done pillowcases before. I should look into that one of these days. XD

I know. I've done it off and on for years, but hadn't really got into it because I can never find kits I like. And most of the books have boring patterns.

Wow. Your people have excellent taste in Christmas gifts. X3

Also, I like the vampire cookie and the light bulb cookie. I'm also not good at decorating them, and don't like making the kind that you have to decorate :x

Your mom put my baking to shame. I spent all last Saturday baking, made 3 kinds of cookies in 5 batches, 5 dozen per batch (for a total of ~300 cookies?) and thought I had accomplished something. Lmao, now I feel like I have to try harder next year!

That's cause this year they actually stuck to the list I gave them, only deviating a little - and making good choices when they deviated.

I don't like having to decorate them either. It's a pain and I get bored of it so fast.

Ahahaha. My mom does this EVERY year. It pretty much works out to 40 dozen cookies. @_@

ROFL. Then clearly you have excellent taste in Christmas gifts lmao ♥

That is why drop cookies are clearly superior. :|

Okso...I will never try that hard. I don't have that much Christmas cheer in me, I think.

LOL thanks. ♥

Yes. I love drop cookies.

I don't blame you. I don't have that much Christmas cheer in me, either.

She was up until 2:30am baking last night. She packed at least 8 dozen cookies into a huge tupperware container for my step-dad and his friend to take with them because they're going to be gone two weeks. And she made gift baskets for all our relatives with a few dozen cookies in them, as well as for one of our neighbors and her best friend. And she's still got several dozen for the family to munch on tomorrow. She's insane and even had stuff to make a few other kinds of cookies but decided she'd made enough already. XD
