The not-so-secret concert

Alfie showed up early to the Room of Requirement to get everything set up. He told the room the band needed somewhere to play and he got what they needed. The space was big and had a very industrial feel to it.

He set up a table for drinks and snacks and a table for Lunar Howl merchandise.

Bolly hadn't bothered trying to sneak out and instead just made all his dormmates come with him. He was wearing his Lunar Howl t-shirt, but he had an eye on the merchandise table so he could get different colours. With Sofie's help and a bit of practice, they'd managed to automate a lot of the effects and were able to run all the rest from a single control board, which meant Bolly didn't have to spend the whole show backstage-not that he would have minded, backstagers were cool-and could help himself to snacks. Which he was doing.

"Absolutely. But if anyone could pull off a one woman band it would be Aunt Kylie because she's the only person I know who is as stubborn as Keke."

"That doesn't sound likely. Not the band bit, I'm sure she can do that because she does. The stubborn bit."

"Have you met Aunt Kylie? She's the only one who scares me as much as Keke. Well almost as much," Blue said.

"See?" Bolly giggled. "Almost!"

"Ok, ok. You're right," Blue agreed.

Bolly nodded emphatically. "Yep! That's me. I'm always right."

"You're right a lot. We'll go with that."

Bolly considers this, decides it's a fair compromise, and sticks his hand out. "Deal!"

He shakes his hand, "deal."

[snakehalf]

"Okay. I'm going to go find Val." Blue gets a hug. "Really great show!"

"Thanks." He hugs him back.

"Hey Bolly," Arlo clapped him on the shoulder. "The show was amazing."

"I should be saying that to you!" Bolly giggled, hugging Arlo before offering him the bowl of crisps.

He takes a crisp, "You helped. You and Sofie. It wouldn't have been as good without you."

[snakehalf]

"Thanks!" Bolly beamed. "Having your own stage and proper rehearsal time made a huge improvement over the talent competition. And Sofie's really good at the multi-timing problems, you know, when you need the different light sets to sync up on particular beats without having to have someone sit on them the whole time?"
