The not-so-secret concert
Alfie showed up early to the Room of Requirement to get everything set up. He told the room the band needed somewhere to play and he got what they needed. The space was big and had a very industrial feel to it.
He set up a table for drinks and snacks and a table for Lunar Howl merchandise.

Bolly hadn't bothered trying to sneak out and instead just made all his dormmates come with him. He was wearing his Lunar Howl t-shirt, but he had an eye on the merchandise table so he could get different colours. With Sofie's help and a bit of practice, they'd managed to automate a lot of the effects and were able to run all the rest from a single control board, which meant Bolly didn't have to spend the whole show backstage-not that he would have minded, backstagers were cool-and could help himself to snacks. Which he was doing.

"Good," Bolly says decisively. "I can definitely earn back points, but I am way too busy for months of hours lost. There's only-" He frowns, trying to count in his head. "What's the last day of summer term again?"

"Don't do the math, you'll be fine," Blue assured him.

"I really should get better at maths," Bolly admits. "I can't get Auggie and Sofie to do it for me in exams."

"No, you can't. At least you know what to work on," Blue said.

"I have a list," Bolly agreed, although it would be more correct to say that he has many lists.

"Lists are good. Sofie's a big fan of lists and now I am too, of course," Blue laughed.

"I don't understand how people remember stuff without writing it down," Bolly admitted.

"They don't remember everything," Blue said. "People forget a lot of things."

"You guys sang for forty five minutes without dropping a lyric," Bolly points out, impressed.

"It takes a lot of rehearsal. None of its easy," Blue shrugged.

"I know! That's why it's so cool when you pull it off so well."

Blue doesn't know why accepting compliments is so difficult for him but it is, "I wouldn't be able to do it without the band," he said. "I don't know how Aunt Kylie does it on her own."

"You record all the instruments individually and then play them back at the same time," Bolly jokes.
