Just a little note to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year!

Well...I'm 30 now.

Nothing left to do now but get ready for tonight; that is if someone actually shows up at the house. That's the problem I've always had with having a birthday the week before Christmas. Everyone's either busy working or they have other plans.

A lot has happened in the past two days. First of all my mom is back home from the hospital. She had surgery yesterday. She's recovering nicely. Once she fully heals from the procedure, she will undergo radiation treatment. Hopefully that will continue to heal her. Dad's been through a lot yesterday, too. It was his birthday. With Thanksgiving coming up this week; I'd like to take a moment to give thanks for what I have.

Recently there was a death in one of my friend's families. Paul DiMeo Sr., father of one of my old high school friends, suffered from a severe case of colon cancer. He had blood infections, was in and out of the hospital several times in the past two months, and his body was just too weak. I saw him in the hospital last night. He was in ICU. My ( Read more... )

This weekend my sister is going to a webcomics convention in Massachusetts. It's the New England Webcomics Weekend. This will be her very first time at any type of convention. As the con goer of the family, I gave her a few tips on how to be prepared for a con:
