you don't need a broken heart, to know a heart can be broken

So, I've kind of failed at the internet recently. It's not deliberate, between my sister's 21st, the new semester starting and being sick, I've hardly found the time for it. I'm trying to catch up though! So ( Read more... )

Lmao, I totally knew it was called 'New Perspective'! I have no idea why I wrote New Direction. I clearly fail at the whole brain-to-typing relationship.

It broke my heart too! It's such a good show, and I actually prefer it to a lot of Joss's other work. It makes me sadface so much. Also, Serenity! Omg, break out the tissue box if you're going to watch it. Don't let that deter you though, because it's such an awesome movie, just, yeah. Really sad.

She is pretty! I kind of love her a lot, and her body! I adore it personally, but like many have said, in a career where you need to be borderline anorexic, I'm not sure how much work she'll get. Having said that, I've just discovered she's got a six-month contract modelling for Harper's Bazaar which is making me gleeface like woah. :D

1. I don't understand why people are being so volatile to the whole TYV/P! thing. As far as I'm concerned, the band split under seemingly friendly conditions, there was no epic fall-out, and it seems to be legit musical differences that caused it. I'm not surprised at all by any of it, because a part of me thinks that, to an extent, Ryan was using Brendon until he gained the confidence to put his own voice by his lyrics. I don't mean this negatively at all, quite the opposite actually, since it seems that all of them have developed enough to say that this what we want out of our careers. I can't say I'm impressed with Ryan's sudden turn to booze and drugs, but, y'know, not my business. I just hope that the band splitting up doesn't mean that they all stop looking out for each other. I agree though, the Panic boys have endeared themselves to me a little more too. ;)

2. It could have been legendary! It had such the foundations of an epic series, so it's such a goddamn shame that it never had the chance to live up to its potential. I ( ... )

Unpopular opinion? From what I know, everyone pm is hating on the young veins. Mostly because of Ryan continuing to pretend he can channel John Lennon.
I adore Pretty. Odd. And every song on that album is (to me) inarguably >>>>>>> Change.
New Perspective sounds like a good progression of Fever though, you're right.
But there's major reasons Pretty. Odd wasn't a progression of Fever (aka Jon Walker & Ryro's new friends).

All in allll though, imo, neither of the songs were fantastic, but yeah New Perspective was much, much better. Oh Glory is where it's at though.

Haha, maybe it's just my flist then? Because most people there seem to be quite pro-young veins. I'm not hating on them, I just think that it's one thing to draw influence from The Beatles and another to imitate, and unfortunately it seems to be the latter that 'Pretty. Odd' was leaning towards. I think Jon and Ryan just need to try and get that balance of influence and originality right, and they could really produce something magical, they're just not quite there yet.

And I agree, I definitely prefer 'Oh Glory' to 'New Perspective'. It'll be interesting to see what both Panic! and TYV come up with next though. I am intrigued, regardless of the fact that I'm not hugely in love with either 'NP' or 'Change' so far. It's sure to be an interesting couple of albums though. :)

I think maybe if they lay off the drugs and would stfd and think for a moment they could get that balance. Buuuut it's probably easier to be a rip off. I'm not anti-tyv or anything, I'm just anti-every choice ryan ross has made in recent history.

The more I listen to New Perspective, it gets better. I'm just pretty irritated that everyone's like, LULZ THAT SONG IS ABOUT BLOWJOBS or whatever.

Whoah, this reminds me that I've completely forgotten about all the top model shows lately; I used to watch them all the time. Maybe I should watch some of this one, because that girl is gorgeous.

I seem to have completely missed this whole Panic at the Disco deal, except in terms of my friendslist freaking out a little while ago. Then again, the only reason I found out who they were was because of your fics. D: I feel like everyone I know listens to them, but nobody talks about it.

I love the top model shows. The Australian one in particular seems to churn out some really gorgeous girls, so you should definitely give this season a go. :)

And haha, the Panic at the Disco drama has been...interesting? I'm not as much of a fan as I was, mostly because I didn't really take to 'Pretty. Odd.' but idk. I wasn't suprised by the break-up, nor by the new Ryan Ross/Jon Walker project choosing to release the day after new Panic. *rolls eyes* Oh well.
