So, I've kind of failed at the internet recently. It's not deliberate, between my sister's 21st, the new semester starting and being sick, I've hardly found the time for it. I'm trying to catch up though! So

1. I don't understand why people are being so volatile to the whole TYV/P! thing. As far as I'm concerned, the band split under seemingly friendly conditions, there was no epic fall-out, and it seems to be legit musical differences that caused it. I'm not surprised at all by any of it, because a part of me thinks that, to an extent, Ryan was using Brendon until he gained the confidence to put his own voice by his lyrics. I don't mean this negatively at all, quite the opposite actually, since it seems that all of them have developed enough to say that this what we want out of our careers. I can't say I'm impressed with Ryan's sudden turn to booze and drugs, but, y'know, not my business. I just hope that the band splitting up doesn't mean that they all stop looking out for each other. I agree though, the Panic boys have endeared themselves to me a little more too. ;)
2. It could have been legendary! It had such the foundations of an epic series, so it's such a goddamn shame that it never had the chance to live up to its potential. I think it's one of the only shows ever that I have liked all the characters on, and I think that's testimony to how good it was.
3. She wasn't considered plus-sized! In fact, the host, Sarah Murdoch (an Australian supermodel) was constantly praising her body, saying that it was slender and healthy and even one of the photographers was like, "she's all woman". It's fabulous. Australia's Next Top Model actually does a pretty good job of picking girls with real potential (one of these things being age, Tahnee's only 17, which is a proper model's starting age really. The American version always surprises me, since the girls are often too old to actually stand a chance in the modelling world) and churning them out in a way that'll give them actual careers post-show, so I'm hopeful. They're good at addressing weight as well. One of the girl's this season was quite obviously anorexic, and the producers hooked her up with a nutritionist. It was well-handled too, because they didn't air any of that, and it was only revealed in a press interview accidentally when one of the judges mentioned that they were really happy with the girl's weight gain.
