[When Lucca does finally sleep, it's a lot like back home- slumped over a table (in this case one of the restaurant's) and solid, despite the snoring. She wakes with a jerk, though, woken… well, probably by the thump Crono's just given her.]

[Her grin flickers for a moment, but only a moment.] Best friends since… forever, pretty much. [which is… technically kind of true, in a way, which might be part of what they're both grinning about now.

Though Crono's looking at the Sphere rather thoughtfully.] Hey, I thought you'd only started planning those vision-things.

Uh. [She supposes that that was probably going to happen- Crono's not a complete idiot.] It's not exactly…

[And Crono gives her a look.] I thought we talked about just going off without telling anyone?

Yeah, but… why am I the one we're worrying about? [She pushes him, but she's starting to grin again.]

So, you tried to create something like the Spheres before, Lucca?

Where were you two planning on running off to? Planning to, uh...elope?

Not exactly. We had something like it, but it doesn't really work any more, and it wasn't much good for long conversations. I've been trying to get the communications working again, but… not much luck so far.

[She'd go and find it, but she's busy being somewhere between horribly amused and mildly mortified at the second part. Crono just looks mortified, and splutters a bit.] That's not-! I didn't mean-

[Lucca pats his arm. Maybe not the best idea right now, but she means well- or to be vaguely reassuring, at least.] Nah, not us. He's got a girl- Marle- and her dad's probably all right with them now. That was the impression I got last time, at least. [She glances at Crono for confirmation, and while he's still feeling very awkward about all this, he manages a nod. No more going-to-jail after a date, which can only be good.]
