I'm glad your cat is on its way to recovery. She is one cute cat.
I moved (I hope you got my email about my new address) closer to the university to save on train fares. My semester has started 2 weeks ago but this week's Golden Week so we are on a mini-break.
I'm going to watch the con DVD by myself too though I am also open to a twitter/gchat real-time party.
HEY! How are you doing? I did get your email! And actually, I have a little packet to send you (nothing too exciting, but if you're like me, you enjoy packages, so . . . package?), so I'm happy I have the new address!
And thank you! She's a really sweet kitty and scared the daylights out of us this week. I know everyone thinks his or her pet is special/awesome, but man, she's a fantastic cat <3
I tend to watch for the first time by myself, but I think a real-time party would be lots of fun! If I can figure out how to make one happen, I'll definitely make an invitational post and see what we can do to coordinate over the different time zones :) So. Much. Fun \o/
It sounds like it'll be an AOL chat room type thing when we do it, so I'll maybe put up a post next week asking people for what times work for them and what time zones and we can try to work it out that way :)
and I likely won't get the package out for another week or so, because I'm traveling a lot until the 12th, but around the end of the month, you should expect a small package :)
YOU!!! I miss you too ... not that I have been around much either. It is busy ... the life thing. BUT since I see peeps I wanna say hello to ... I'm going to on here I hope you don't mind...
Also OMG the poor kitty! I'm so glad she's ok now. Hope she fully recovers. And ugh! UTI's ... yes I had a bout once and yes I get them regularly too now. gah!
eeep! They sound horrible! What can one do to prevent them, once you've had one?
At first, they thought she might have a stone in her bladder or urethra, which might require surgery. Then after more tests, we realized it was the fleas and the minor UTI was just a side issue D:
Then she developed a slight respiratory infection because she couldn't fight anything off DDD:
They couldn't take blood because she was so dry at first, but then they didn't want to give her the subcutaneous because they didn't want to dilute the blood she had. Her red blood cell count was down over 30% of normal and her white cells were way down too. It was really really scary, because she kept dropping weight, and we couldn't get any food in her, and she had no bodily functions at all for almost a week >_But now she's feisty! We had another visit and blood test this morning and her red blood cell count is actually back pretty much to regular and her white cells look good, too, so it's just continuing daily vitamins (ew smelly syringes of nasty
( ... )
I heard about kitteh's ordeal earlier, I'm really glad she's feeling better! *wrings hands*
In other news: OMG THOSE EGGS. I think we've established that I'm drawn to bright colors- I'll probably marry a pride parade!
Nails: I actually opened a separate blog just for my polish (and nominally my jewelry, but for now all that's there is polish and a few dusty jewelry entries from 2010!) It's over here :) but you don't have to check it out if you don't want to!
As for uploading pictures to LJ: I don't actually know, since I use this amazing program called Web Photos Pro that lets me upload to LJ in bulk. It's a really great tool as a chronic picspammer, you should try it XD
OH! I just saw that girly Bits (the indie I forgot to add last night because I was tired) is selling Spectraflair and frankening starter kits! Also, I love about 80% of her polishes, so . . . *flails*
These cascarrones are a bit brighter than the ones in the grocery, but some places, you can go and get them where they have sparkly confetti, and I may have to go find them. We use them at Easter and Fiesta (an annual 10 day festival in San Antonio), and really, just all spring. There are still a dozen or so on our porch and every once in a while we surprise the other one with it.
ooooh, I 'll have to check out the new blog, too!
I keep meaning to start a short nail blog, maybe on blogspot or blogger, so I won't bore my boyband friends ^^;
Sadly, Web Photos Pro is currently incompatible with Mac Lion, and it doesn't look like they've upgraded it in years, so I kind of doubt I';ll be able to use it. Buuuuuummer.
Girly bits has a franken starter kit?????????????? O_O I've been wanting to try out some frankens of my own, but I'm not sure where to begin. I'll have to look into that!
And I've actually heard of girly bits- it may have been you who introduced me, I LOVE Shift Happens. In general her multichromes are a beauty to behold- although I may end up getting Beetlejuice first, because they're cheaper -_-;;; I want to support the indies, but right now I have to support myself!
Actually blogger and blogspot are the same thing XD I think they may have started out as two different platforms, but now they both end up in the same place. Maybe since they were both bought by google? Or something.
It's a pity about the LJ scrabpook thing, but I just got wind of the fact that they're about to revamp the entire scrapbook system. From the preview images they put up, it looks like it's going to be really streamlined for multiple photo uploads soon! (let's just hope it actually works)
Awww, kitteh! Congrats on your everything! :) I'm glad it all turned out so well! *glomps!* Also that is a cool Easter tradition! Just. In general. You are awesome. \o/
