'Parting is all we know of heaven, and all we need of hell'

This is the slowest. work day. ever. The only task I had today was to continue cleanup in the aftermath of last week's massive brief -- i.e., shuffle papers and move boxes. I go away from my desk, shuffle some papers, come back, and only like 10 minutes has passed. Uuuuuuugh. So, nothing for it but to write a random lj post ( Read more... )

So is $SQUASH the variable that contains whatever kind of squash you're using at the time?

Of course! I've decided that actual pie pumpkins are more trouble than they're worth and am using other squash. (So far, just butternut and amber cup.)

weird... not to insult your taste or anything, and I will admit that I blotted out most of that whole telepath subplot because I thought it was really stupid and a waste of time - but I've never liked Byron as a character and was a little creeped out by him, as well as just being annoyed by him and wishing he would shut up.
Perhaps its worth my revisiting the later episodes, though, as I've been rewatching seasons 2-3 mostly (I really want to get season 4 for myself and am considering getting season 5 or just getting it from the library like before.. I don't remember liking S5 as much, but it did have some good episodes).

It's a quote used in the B5 episode that I talk about. According to the episode's guide page, where the full(?) text of the poem is given, it's a quote from Emily Dickinson's poem '#1732'
