220 miles: Went to OSCON. It was kind of a waste of my time, unfortunately. In common US digit separation, would that number be 503.313.1876? Or was there a transcription error, and it should be 503.876.3131?

Where are you looking for houses? Meaning both the physical location and the media (craigslist etc) you have in mind.

No error, it's (503) 313-1876. The number just wants to be said "five-o-three, three-one-three-one, eight-seven-six."

K's been looking all over Seattle. We're hoping to be close to UW, but mostly it's a combination of availability and price. It's been craigslist so far, but I think we'll probably pick up a Stranger & Seattle Weekly on Saturday, plus drive around the U district, Capitol hill, etc., when we're not meeting folks to see places.

The ruby event at FG was not all that. Overcrowded and poorly amplified. Free PBR tho.

... and so all I saw were marketdroids. Google didn't foot the bill for us SoCers to get into the sessions. Some of them sounded really great. I did see Larry Wall signing books. I resisted the urge to ask him how Perl6 was coming.
