I have a kitty cat and he is cute and his name is Percy and I just got him this afternoon but he's already curled up with me purring and I love him and eee.

I'd suggest a squirt gun or annoying toy. You have to make him associate the table with unpleasantness but not in a way that harms him.

Truth. Though it turns out that a) blowing bubbles at him is as effective as a laser pointer and b) flicking water at him is as effective as a squirt gun. :D

I second the squirt gun. And it's fun to always have a squirt gun handy (kinda makes you feel like a secret agent...)

Isn't he? Not at all what I thought I was looking for but turns out he's perfect. (Plus, Percy's been one of my favorite pet names for years and I was delighted to find someone who suits taht name, haha.)
