Great work. Kurt's look of terror in that moment definitely stuck with me, and this fic captures it perfectly. I especially appreciated that Kurt's heart was still lodged in his throat while he was dancing, and that he had to make himself smile for Rachel, and that he still has nightmares about the previous prom night. Well done!

The "white knight" line still guts me. Oh, this is so lovely. It hurts, but it's supposed to. Poor Kurt. But I know it won't be for always and this is yet another glimpse at how strong a kid Kurt Hummel is.

Not only lovely but infinitely satisfying in a way that the episode was not. At least you addressed the elephants in that room and gave a reason for the lack of physicality for Kurt and Blaine.
