I'm such a child

I almost broke down crying in physical therapy today, just because my arm was unusually bad and I couldn't fully extend like I should be able to. *sighs* Really, I'm so ridiculous sometimes. I think in part I'm writing this here to remind myself to apologize to the therapist when I go in again next week. Like they don't have enough to deal with, ( Read more... )

Don't feel bad over a little breakdown. It's okay to feel sad or disappointed or even angry when your physical therapy isn't going as well as you'd hoped. I'm sure the therapists are used to reactions like that and they understand. I don't think you're pathetic and I'm sure they don't, either.

And not all roads to recovery are straight and smooth. Sometimes, you take a step or two back. Just keep going and I'm sure you will get there--hopefully sooner rather than later. But don't be embarrassed by your feelings.

Sorry for the late reply, my internet's been mostly nonexistent, but thanks for the kind words. I did apologize to the therapist and she kinda laughed it off, but it felt good to do so. Unfortunately, what frustrates me most is that there isn't going to BE any recovery, I'm in for the long-haul, but oh well. Not like being pessimistic will make it any better for me, right? :P

Aww, no, don't beat yourself up. Believe me, when it comes to things in my health going wrong, I cry all the time. xD It can be really frustrating and like madmiko said, I'm sure the therapists have seen worse and are used to those things.

I hope things improve for you! :)

Thanks babe. I think it just frustrates me all the more because I'm not normally that emotional a person (at least not outwardly) so when I go into a bit of a tantrum it's all the more awkward for me, haha. Ah well, good to remember I'm human too, ne? ^_-
