i hope i didn't let you down with my not knowing what microsoft live or whatever is. i have g-mail chat and i installed a yahoo instant messenger a while ago, but i don't really do much chatting. i can't understand why people use text messaging when they could speak faster. i don't type very fast...

No, this was in reference to my very, very flaky friends and family. I wasn't always this touchy about it, given that it's always good to leave some room for spontaneity and everyone has things come up, but I broke with my previous best friend. Once she discovered polyamory she couldn't keep a date that didn't involve the promise of things devolving into an orgy, so needless to say I got stood up time after time and eventually we stopped hanging out altogether.
Now the two people I hang out with the most I can never really rely on because they are constantly canceling last minute. Granted, it's not completely lame excuses or anything - quite legitimate most of the time, but it gets tiring after a while to never be able to count on them.
