"I don't know why, but I have writer's block like whoa. And this was supposed to be an easy chapter to write! I got about 6 more pages punched out last night, but it was a scene I hadn't even meant to write, it just kinda popped out. I like it but it messes up my outline for the chapter and how I was gonna make all the scenes fit to make coherent chapters. Bah."This sounds exactly like my situation. It took me over 6 months to get out my recent chapter, and I used to get out a chapter every two or three weeks. My entire story has been planned out from the very beginning-I KNOW what happens. But I have just had a hell of a time making myself sit down and write it out. Everything I write down, I end up going back to and "tweaking" to death. AND, I had a little scene crop up which now I will have to add to and deal with which changed my outline. *sigh

I know - the entire story has just been slowing down and I hate to say but I think part of it IS because the excitement wears off a bit. I mean, I've been living with this story (or versions of it as it has a tendency to change) for years now. I still like it, it's just not fresh and I'm not simply dying to write it

I'd probably enjoy an impromptu scene more if I wasn't trying so desperately to get the story finished. LOL! Before this last chapter, I told everyone there were just two more chapters--I had every intention of ending this chapter with the big reveal of the murderer. But, as I started working on it, I realized that in order to get to that point, this chapter would have to be like 80 pages long. LOL! There are just so many threads I need to be sure to tie up, and every time I think about them, the list seems to get longer. *sigh* So, I think I told everyone that NOW there are two chapters left, and ... Well, I'm just not 100% sure I can hit that spot in just one chapter. I have written a 63-page chapter before, and several 50-page ones, but I'd really like to keep it to between 30 and 40, if at all possible. I would really love to get the story finished this Summer. I have a feeling my writing time is going to dramatically decrease this Fall and Winter

First, that icon makes me nearly pee myself laughing everytime I see it XD Seriously.
About SP, I sometimes just go with the flow of a story. It helps me castrate writer's block. As to why I'm personifying it as male, it's simply because only men are that big of a pain in the arse (we just got the first ever male at my workplace >.>; He doesn't seem to understand what is meant when we say 'if you've nothing to do, clean'). Anyways, best of luck with this chapter
