Oh sure, I'll tag right before work... derek_bliss May 4 2010, 11:35:21 UTC
[Derek, being in the forest, will note the fire, and do what any insane vampire hunter 'normal' person would do, which is go check it out.

As he approaches, he does feel a little warm, until the thing inside decides to go dormant, leaving a sudden empty and lack of pressure in his mind. With its departure, the heat of the fire fades. Still, he hesitates at the edge of the seeming inferno, debating what to do for several moments before cautiously reaching out a hand to touch the flames.

Nothing happens, and it makes him curious enough to push in further, checking out the lack of damage as he goes. Eventually, he'll find his way to the center, although the 'poke' to his brain makes him stop just short of coming into view of the cause of it.]

[Ikki feels someone entering the field of flames, though mostly because of the initial presence of something evil. It's a very brief moment thought and soon there seems to be nothing but a normal human's Cosmos of no evil intent, so he continues with his meditation. Not minding at all the people and living beings that wander around the apparent inferno as long as they don't address to him.]

And then I got sent home sick and just woke up officially :P derek_bliss May 5 2010, 00:32:49 UTC
[When nothing else happens, Derek goes a little further, finally making his way into the clearing where Ikki is. He stops dead, studying this for a long moment.]

...This is new.

Aw, that sucks, hope you're better now flamesofanger May 5 2010, 07:01:56 UTC
[The flames stir for a brief moment, Ikki doesn't move from his spot but he will talk.]

Is it? Regarding what?

[This is a man made of smoke investigating the fire looking for signs of a certain fiery pirate. This is a smoke man getting very bewildered that nothing's burning up and there is no added smoke. He might be a little disappointed about the lack of extra smoke thing, but he'll try to be cool about. Upon noticing Ikki, he stands, crosses his arms and gestures at the surrounding fire.]

Oi. This your doing?

[Ikki doesn't move from his spot, neither opens his eyes when the other talks. The flames around them stir more than normal for a second thought, as if speeding up before they return to an apparent normal behavior.]

Yes.

[Simple answer to a simple question. Ikki won't go into further detail unless inquired, besides if that man is there he must have already seen that the fire is harmless to apparently everything, so there's no need to add an explanation on how nothing is being damaged.]

Mind if I ask the point to this illusion? It doesn't seem to be doing much.

[Old Loguetown habits of policing.]

[Still not moving.]

It's a side-effect when I meditate to train my Cosmos. And it does something, to those of evil intent.

[Iris had been on a walk, exploring more of the village and forest. The flames rising out of the foliage do not go unnoticed. It did startle her until she looked closer and noticed no smoke or ash. She's seen her share of fires, and the only one fire had seen that didn't burn in the typical manner was originated from only one person she could think of.

She approached the fire somewhat cautiously, but as there was an absence of heat, it made her press onward. Soon the lone figure sitting on a familiar box came into view. Not wanting to disturb what looked like meditation, Iris kept her distance.]

[The familiar Cosmos doesn't go unnoticed as she enters the flames. So Ikki already expected her presence to become more noticeable as she approached him, he doesn't move from his spot thought.]

How have you been, Iris?

[She figured that he would notice her due to his spiritual power. Seeing that he hadn't quite minded her being there since he would probably make that very clear, she closed more of the distance between them.]

I've been well. As much as this place will allow me to be so. What about yourself?

I've been fine.

[Leaving aside a nasty fight he had with a certain blood-thirsty demon.]

They say we will forget about this place upon returning to our worlds, but no one says anything about if any training done here will be lost as well. So I'm using my time here to my advantage.

[Scar just stares at the fire, studying it. What kind of fire doesn't burn what it touches? Or for that matter, what kind of fire doesn't produce smoke? The old lion frowns a bit and moves closer to investigate only to stop when he feels whiskers getting singed.

Perhaps it is best to avoid this... fire.]

[He notices the Cosmos, nothing too powerful but it's still somehow big. And evil. It's to be expected, Ikki has already seen that there are some evil beings around, but this one catches his attention a bit more, if only because the Cosmos doesn't feel that of a human, God or demon.

Later on, after he finishes his Cosmos training and meditation, he may try to track that specific Cosmos to see who or what it is exactly. Just because he feels it now doesn't mean they can't hide it or somehow fool his senses, sight isn't the most reliable one but it does its share of help at times.]

[Scar didn't stay much longer to observe the fire, choosing instead to slink off to a different part of the forest for the time being.

So imagine his surprise when a strange..human wanders into a clearing where he had been sunning himself. He lifts his head as the sound of a twig breaking and frowns as he lifts the rest of his body up, tail and wings flickering slightly as he turns towards the sound.]

[A lion was definitively not something Ikki expected, even if in this place he has already learned that animals talk, the ability to have evil intent -if that can be called an ability- tells him that this isn't an animal like the others. Ikki doesn't approach any further, maybe he has already entered the animal's territory but he won't violate it more than he has already.

Despite carrying his Pandora Box like a backpack, Ikki is not here to fight, only to investigate. But really, a lion with evil intent, way to give a new light to the animal kingdom.]

Hn... I'm sorry, I didn't expect to interrupt anyone here.

[Marco sees fire + no smoke and the sum comes to a certain guy who really should be dead. The problem is that Ace is dead, which means it can't be him - that doesn't stop him approaching the forest as soon as he notices it. It doesn't take him long to get to the guy in the centre either, which takes away the faint hope he had.]

Shit. Guess I wouldn't be so lucky.

[That's a powerful Cosmos approaching him, and quite determined by the way it moves. Ikki is not surprised by the guy's reaction thought, it felt as if he was looking for something specific.]

Mind if I ask what were you expecting?

[He doesn't move though the fire seems to stir a bit for a second as he talks.]

Just someone I knew. He could... make fire kind of like this. [He glances up at the flames and scowls slightly.]

Sorry to bother you, eh.

Fire like this? That would be someone interesting to meet.

[He has met people who could create and control fire as if it was a trained animal, but none of them could make a fire that wouldn't hurt those without evil intent.]

It's not bother, if what I'm doing required solitude I would have gone to the furthest point in the barrier.
