I keep cracking up at the Capital One commercial that makes reference to "WAR kittens!?!"

It's not the commercial, it's the way the guy says "WAR kittens!?!"

These are what I think of as 'War Kittens':

thanks so much for exposing me to these crazy kittens. My fave is, of course, The Immigrant Song, it's so damn hilarous. Even looks a bit like Jimmy's lake!

PS It appears Logan renamed the band to "Sons of Albion". Cute.

Gahhhh! I lament that I cannot view until I am at home!

I never and I do mean NEVER tire of hearing you talk about Jimmy.

This line right hear sounds like the opening line of of a story:

There is ALWAYS drama between Jimmy and me.

I love those kitties, and I both love and curse you for the sharing of them for now I have Zeppelin songs crashing through my head for which there is NO cure except a dozen or so hours of piping Zeppelin cds directly into my head at high volumes! Alas, I can hear Ophelia pulling on her leathers and sharpening her blades even now. She loves a good kill with Robert Plant screaming in the background.

Me, too, actually. I'm suddenly craving more Led Zeppelin, and I can't even tell you the last time that happened!

I want to see Ophelia having a good kill with Robert as her screaming soundtrack!!!! (For Duncan, it's become a joke that his 'internal soundtrack' when in battle is Pink Floyd's "Run Like Hell".)

Yeah, I haven't listened to Zeppelin for so long the cds are buried in the stacks. Unless Kat has them. I'll have to have her dig those out for me tonight.

That's funny about Duncan. And now I have the urge to put together a playlist for Ophelia... oye. I haven't had one of those since she was actively being played as a guild assassin. Lately I've been wanting to do a lot for her, though. I've been hunting for "the right" blank book to use as her personal journal (with no luck) and was fondling a knife the other night with her in mind.

I have an old, old photograph (B&W from a music magazine 'way back when) with Robert in mid-flight roar on stage around that period--he's got a beard. Anyway, it's always my mental image of Launcelot.

THERE'S an idea! Make a scent for Robert!!!!

Ooh, and as soon as my tax check comes, I gets to order stuffses from you! I can't wait!! I'm eagerly looking forward to drooling over your fragrances list again and trying to narrow it down!

I'm not clicking ANY of those links! I don't want any songs getting stuck in my head thank you. I got into Led Zeppelin on my honeymoon of all things. It was one of those " Where have these songs been all my life?" moments. It's not often that you hear music that is still fresh sounding from back in the day. Or, rather, back in the day before I was even born anyway. *whispers* And, dare I say, I like them waaaaaay better than The Beatles. Going to wash my mouth out with soap now... ; )

*whispers* Were you a groupie? ; )

NO.

I was a professional photojournalist.

I hate the fact that modern culture has picked up on the term "groupie" and uses it in the wrong way.

You didn't, but it gets tiring that the modern conception is:

All females backstage are whores and
All fans are groupies and therefore whores.

There are LOTS of reasons for women to be present backstage, including working as a caterer, working for the promoter, being a stagehand, being a family member or friend of a musician, working in the music business (music shop, music distributor, music journal, record company, radio station), real fans who have won the passes from a promotion or have a special deal in the band's fan club.

Jumping to the conclusion that a woman backstage is there for sexual reasons is just too easy and often too wrong.
